What's in a name? That which we call "PCOS," by any other name would still suck. ;) Apparently, there is a group of people who want to change the name of PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) to something that doesn't focus so much on the "ovary" part of the disease. They want to draw attention to the fact that it also has something to do with metabolic, adrenal, hypothalamic, and pituitary functions. All in all, it's not a horribly bad idea. However, if we're going to change the name of it, we need to stick with whatever we decide. After all, it's already been changed once from "Stein–Leventhal Syndrome." I don't care if they change it or not, honestly, but I'm NOT changing my blog name!
